- How can I renew my Irish Passport?

office for an application and guidance on filling it out. You will need a witness. A witness is available at Irish Outreach. Call Irish Outreach

- Do you have information on Retiring in Ireland?
Retiring to Ireland is a major decision which requires careful prior consideration and planning.
There is a bilateral agreement on Social Security between the US and Ireland. US social security
recipients legally resident in Ireland may be entitled to receive certain in-kind benefits received by
Irish social security recipients. In certain cases it is possible to combine Irish and US social security
contributions which might otherwise fall short of the two countries’ respective eligibility thresholds.
US Social Security recipients residing in Ireland can receive their pensions in Ireland through the US Embassy.

What Visa types provide me a legal path to the US and ultimately to US citizenship?
Spouse, family, and employer sponsored
Visas are common ways to come to the US legally. Also you should consider the DV Lottery Visa.
The Diversity Immigrant Visa Program is administered on an annual basis by the US Department of State.
It provides for a new class of immigrants known as "diversity immigrants" (DV immigrants).
The Act makes available 50,000 permanent resident visas annually to persons from countries with
low rates of immigration to the United States.

- I have a green card but am not yet a naturalized Citizen, can I vote.?
No.
Only US citizens can vote in US elections.
- I am a US Citizen of Irish descent - how do I apply for Irish Citizenship?
Anyone born outside Ireland, whose father or mother is an Irish citizen not born in Ireland,
can become an Irish citizen by having his or her birth entered in the Irish Register of Foreign Births
at the Department of Foreign Affairs in Dublin or at the nearest Irish diplomatic or consular mission.
In the United States there are
five offices who process Foreign Birth Registration applications.
- Can I extend the 3 month / 90 day visa waiver?
The answer to the question is No. Visa waivers cannot be extended nor renewed.
Visa waiver holders can only change their status if they are:
1. sponsored by a US citizen spouse
2. sponsored by a US citizen child over 21
3. sponsored by a US citizen parent if the visa waiver holder is under 21.
